Kaplan violin E strings provide the traditional rich sound expected from high-quality steel E strings. Multiple options are available within the Kaplan line for a wide array of performance needs, including plain steel and aluminum wound. Also available is a unique non-whistling violin E string.

Scaled to fit 4/4 size violin with a playing length of 13 inches (328mm), medium tension strings are optimized to the needs of a majority of players. Kaplan gold-plated violin E strings provide a rich, vibrant tone. The precision plating process also provides for a string with enhanced corrosion resistance. The Kaplan Non-Whistling E string is specifically designed to solve open E-string "whistling" occurrences. It produces a warm, rich tone that blends very well with lower strings. Kaplan Non-Whistling E includes one free Kaplan Ball End Adapter for use on single hook style fine tuners.
